Its absence from Samui, itself, is a mystery. It is a species found at the edges of woodland and also in secodary vegetation.

Larval Foodplant
In Singapore it has been bred on Scleria bancana (Cyperaceae)
Range
Peninsular Thailand, West Malaysia and Sumatra. Other subspecies to be found in Nais, Borneo and Sumatra.
