Pendlebury 1936 - The Black and White Helen

This species was found by Masashi Maruyama along the Maenam-Lamai road on 3 February 2015. I have not seen it since my arrival in 2007, though that may be due to its superficial likeness to the common Papilio helenus.

Range

Peninsular Thailand, Langkawi Island and north Malaysia. Other subspecies can be found in the very south of Peninsular Thailand, West Malaysia and Singapore and the Ranong area and Andaman Islands and the rest of Sundaland.
