Distant 1882 - Common Posy

The smaller of the two Drupadia species found on the Island, distinguished by the much darker underside hindwing markings.

It can be found in forests and at their edges.

Larval Foodplant

Derris scandens (Papilionaceae) and Saraca thaipingensis (Caealpiniaceae)

Range

Peninsular Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Other subspecies found in North-East India, Myanmar, Northern Thailand and Indo-China through to the Philippines
