A common species, and the most likely of the long-tailed species to be seen. It is found in forests, at their edges and in secondary vegetation.

Larval Foodplant
Litchi chinensis (Sapindaceae), Macadamia integrifolia (Proteaceae), Polyalthia viridis (Annonoceae), Saraca indica (Caesalpiniaceae) and Xylia xylocarpa (Mimosaceae)
Range
Northern Peninsular Malaysia, Peninsular Thailand and the Mergui Islands. Other subspecies in Southern Malaysia, also Northern India, Myanmar, Northern Thailand, Loas, Vietnam, Sumatra, Java and Bali.
