This species is included based on the existance of a specimen in the Natural History Museum, London, labelled Khao Luang, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Siam, 2000ft., 27 March 1922 and collected by H.M. Pendlebury.

A second specimen (photo shown here) was found by Antonio Giudici in Umphang in 2018.

Personally, I have doubt as to the validity of the species, feeling that it is more likely to be another colour variation of Suracarta tricolor.

Range

Recorded distribution in Thailand. Nakhon Si Thammarat and Tak provinces.
