This is a rare species in Thailand. The photo shown here is, to my knowledge, only the second record of the species for the country. The first was recorded by Pendlebury back in 1930, but I have no details as to location or date. The number of subsequent sightings is minimal.

From the limited details available, the species is found at the edge of forested areas at medium elevations.

The Indian reports are all from the south and west of the country, a large gap from all the other reports.

Recorded distribution in Thailand. Chumphon and Nakhon Si Thammarat provinces.
