This montane forest species is newly recorded for Thailand.
The specimens seen from Thailand differ slightly from the Type description only in that the pronotum is ivory coloured, whereas the Type description says that it is ochre-yellow. This is likely only to be a geographic variation.

India, Indonesia (Sumatra, Kalimantan), Malaysia (Borneo, S. peninsula), Myanmar and Thailand.
Recorded distribution in Thailand. Chiang Mai, Nan, Kanchanaburi, Nakhon Si Thammarat and Yala provinces.
