Leptataspis fuscipennis - Le Peletier de Saint-Fargeau & Serville 1825

Photos taken at Yot Leuang, Nakhon Si Thammarat Prov., Thailand on 6 June 2017.
This is a common species at low to mid elevations in southern Thailand.
There are a lot of misidentifications on the internet. This is primarily because of its very close appearance to L. fulviceps. There three main ways to seperate the two in photos:
a: The colour of the legs are picous in L. fulviceps, but bright yellow in L. fuscipennis
b: L. fulviceps is larger than L. fuscipennis
c: The orange costal band on the tegmina is broader on L. fuscipennis.
In photos, the most obvious one is the colour of the legs. One needs a specimen of the other species to compare with for the other two.
