This is a common species found throughout Thailand.
In the North-West of Thailand, there is a form, f. tristis, which is darker, having a red head and pronotum and black legs. The usual form has these orange/yellow with only part of the legs black.

Recorded distribution in Thailand. Yala, Krabi, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phetchaburi, Chanthaburi, Kanchanaburi, Chaiyaphum, Phetchabun, Phitsanulok, Nan and Chiang Mai provinces.
