Cosmoscarta gravelyi - Distant 1916

A new record for Thailand.
These photos shows the form C. gravelyi f. nigrorubra. There are several named forms, and this has the brightest red colouring, and is the furthest south. Other forms have the colouring duller red to ochre/yellow, the further north one goes.
It has been seen on several occasions in mid-elevation forests, so it does not appear to be particularly rare in peninsular Thailand.

Recorded distribution in Thailand. Ratchaburi, Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Ranong and Nakhon Si Thammarat provinces.
