First recorded in Thailand in: Lallemand V. 1912 - Homoptera Fam. Cercopidae. Genera Insectorum. Diriges par P. Wytsman. Bruxelles 143: 1-167.

The record for Thailand must be considered doubtful, at the very least. Lallemand refers to an earlier work, Mission Pavie, Volume 3 (page 183), published in 1904, in which Mnsr. Auguste Pavie states that the specimen was found on the road between Luang-Prabang and Theng. At the time, the area was controlled by the Siamese, but it is now within the borders of modern day Laos.

I have not seen this species.
