Clovia burmanica - Distant 1916

(c) I Dugdale (Phuket Nature Tours). Photos taken at Kaeng Krachan, Phetchaburi Prov., Thailand on 17 May2021.
The genus, Clovia, is huge, with approximately 170 known species. Most of these are very similar, and the only way to indentify them to species level is to examine the genitalia and DNA.
This species can be identified by the two white costal border spots, and the pale fascia above the first spot which curves and reaches the base of the tegmina. The shape of the markings on the pronotum also appear diagnostic.
