Beesoniella is the only genus of Clasopteridae known from mainland Asia (as at August 2021), and these are the first records from Thailand and I am extremely grateful to Cheryl Stinchcomb for permitting their use on this site.

There are three known species in the genus, two first described in 2015 and only known from India, and their descriptions do not match the photos shown. The third species, B. sylvestris was described by Lallemand in 1933, and placed, originally, in the family Aphrophoridae. The photos may show this species, as it is known from India, Laos and Vietnam, but I have not been able to find the original description, so its identification must remain unconfirmed.
