Ypthima nebulosa
Aoki & Uemura 1984 - The Malayan Fivering
Koh Samui only.
A member of the extremely confusing baldus complex. The best way to identify the species is through the wider spacing between the hindwing ocelli in spaces 2 and 3 on the underside hindwing. The underside fascia are also more obscure in this species than in Y. baldus.
This species appears in the same locations as Y. baldus, and it is highly probable that it is encountered more often than recorded, owing to their basic similarities.
