This species shows extreme sexual dimorphism. The male upperside is without any markings except for a tiny white apical spot. It is not uncommon at forest edges and glades.

Larval Foodplant
Impatiens violaeflora (Balsaminaceae). Outside Thailand, it has been recorded feeding on various Celtis species(Ulmaceae)
Range
Thailand and Malay Peninsular. Other subspecies from Sri Lanka and India to China and Sundaland, including Palawan.
