Very similar, but larger, than the members of the Neptis Genus. This is a common butterfly which can be found everywhere on the Island.

Larval Foodplant

Cratoxylun cochinchinense (Guttiferae), Pterocarpus indicus, Tadehagi triquetrum (both Papilionaceae), Reevesia pubescens, Sterculia lancelota (both Sterculiaceae)

Range

Burma, Thailand and Indo-China. Many other subspecies from India, China, Malaysia, Lesser Sunda Islands and the Philippines.
