This species, which is known in England as the Long-tailed Blue is a well known best of beans and peas. It is found in secondary vegetation and also in farmers fields and gardens where its hostplant grows.

Cajanus cajan, Crotalaria anagyroides, Crotalaria pallida, Butea frondosa, Vigna radiata and Vigna sinensis (all Papilionaceae)
Range
Worldwide except for the Americas, though it is found on Hawaii.
