A member of the elpis subgroup. This is the most common of this group, where the post-discal band on the forewing underside is completely dislocated at vein 3.
It is to be found in wooded environments.

Boesenbergia pandurata and Elettaria cardamomum (both Zingiberaceae)
Range
Peninsular Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Sumatra. Many other subspecies to be found from India, through Nepal, Myanmar to Northern Thailand and throughout Indo-China to Sulawesi and the Philippines.
