Moore 1858 - The Common Cornelian
This is a fast flying, medium sized butterfly. The upperside of the male is orange-red in colour, whilst the females are less bright, more brownish.
It is usually to be cound just outside the limits of forrested regions, in secondary vegetation and orchards.

Flowers, and inside the fruits of Aesculus indicus (Hippocastanaceae), Punica granatum (Punicaceae), Dimocarpus longan, Litchi chinensis and Nephelium lappaceum(all Sapindaceae)

Thailand, Malaysia, Sikkim, Myanmar and Indo-China.
