Staudinger 1889 - Vinous Oakblue

This is a member of the cleander subgroup of this Genus, and on Samui, the specimens appears on the small size.

Like most members of this Genus, it is to be found in dense woodland, but also can occasionally be seen at the edges of these woodlands.

Peninsular Thailand, West Malaysia and Singapore. Further subspecies to be found in S. Myanmar, and southern mainland Thailand.
