A medium to small species, part of the Alitaeus Group, which can be recognised by the underside forewing bearing a costal spot in space 11, above the central cell spot.
A forest dweller, it can be recognised by the whitish wash on the underside.

Range
Southern Myanmar, Peninsular Thailand and Northern Malaysia. Another subspecies is found in the rest of Malaysia.
