Whilst definite identification of this species has only been made once, it is highly likely that it is more common than at first appears. It is only one of a large number of very similar brown species, not east to identify in the field or by photographs of specimens in the field.

Larval Foodplant
Apluda mutica and Oryza sativa (both Gramineae).
Range
S. Myanmar, down the Malay Peninsular, Sumatra, Nais, Banka and Java. Other subspecies found in Japan, China, Myanmar, India and Borneo.
