Hasora malayana

C. & R. Felder 1860 - White-Banded Awl

This is probably the most common species of this Genus on Samui. It is a denizen of dense forest.

This species was previosly known as H. taminatus malayana, but, as its range overlapped that of another subspecies, H. taminatus bhavara, which is not allowed under the rules of sympatry, it has now been given specific status.
