Astictopterus jama jama
C & R Felder 1860 - The Forest Hopper
As its English name suggests, this species is most often encountered in woodland areas. However, it is not unknown in secondary vegetation close to woods. It is not uncommon on Samui.
It can be distinguished from other plain brown species by its small size, and also that it often has small white subapical dots on its forewings.
