Parantica aspasia aspasia

Fabricius 1787 - Yellow Glassy Tiger

Koh Samui only.

This species was caught by Masashi Maruyama during one of his numerous visits to Koh Samui. However, it has not been seen since my arrival on the Island in 2007. This is a bit of a mystery, as it is an easily identifiable species and is common on the mainland and can be found at Donsak, the closest point on the mainland to Samui.
