Danaus melanippus hegesippus
Cramer 1777 - The White Tiger
Koh Samui and Koh Pha Ngan.
A common species which is similar to Danaus genutia, but can be distinguished by the white hindwings. Because of the black veins, the scent scales found on the males are less obvious on the upperside hindwing than with other species, but still noticeable on the underside.
This can be found throughout the Islands except in forests.
