A common and widespread species, found throughout South and South-East Asia.

It is a variable species, both in colouration and markings.

The specimen without any markings on the tegmina is called f. impunctata.

Range

Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia (peninsula), Myanmar, Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand.

Recorded distribution in Thailand. Chiang Mai, Lampang, Nan, Phitsanulok, Phetchabun, Loei, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima, Nakhon Nayok, Nakhon Si Thammarat and Yala provinces.
